Japan’s Conformity

Mr. Awoonor’s first trip to Asia, specifically Japan, was fascinating. He was struck by the culture, cleanliness, organization, and pride in work, from taxi drivers to restaurant staff, all consistently professional without expecting tips. Everywhere we went, from Okinawa’s beaches to Nagano’s ski resorts and Tokyo’s mix of traditional and modern architecture, the same attention to detail and respect for rules was evident.
